Since the Waukesha County Chapter of 100 Women Who Care was founded in 2015, the group has donated $250,267 to 39 Waukesha County charities. The founding group was able to give $1700 to their first charity, and as the number of members has grown to 118, the donations have also increased significantly through the power of collective giving. In November, Journey 21 (Oconomowoc) received a check for $11,700. In February, Gals on the Go Project (Delafield) received a check for $12,691. In June, Redeem and Restore Center, Inc. (Waukesha County) received $13,837. At the most recent Giving Circle, BeReAVEd Together (New Berlin) was selected to receive $15,218.
100 Women Who Care Waukesha County meets four times a year for a Giving Circle to consider the needs of three Waukesha County charities, and then members vote to donate $100 each to one of them. Due to the matching contributions of the Richard M. Schulze Family Foundation and some employers, the donations of the group have reached over $250,000!
If you can dedicate just one hour four times a year and offer a $100 donation each time, consider joining 100 Women Who Care Waukesha County. New members are welcome to join as part of teams of 2 for $50 each, or if under 30 with a $30 contribution. If you would like to join the group and become a member who can suggest a charitable organization for consideration, contact Laura Campbell at 100wwcwaukeshacounty@gmail.com for more information. The next Giving Circle will be held September 10 at Tuscan Hall.

100 Women Who Care Waukesha County meets four times a year for a Giving Circle to consider the needs of three Waukesha County charities, and then members vote to donate $100 each to one of them.
Three charities were presented at the February 7th Giving Circle, and Redeem and Restore, nominated by A.J. Simms, was determined to be the recipient. To quote AJ: "I work with the City of Waukesha Chamber of Commerce as their Administrator, and it has been my pleasure to get to know many local businesses. Through the Chamber's Executive Women's Network, I got to know Chaplain Krista Hull and learn about her passionate journey to open a long-term home for women recovering from sex trafficking and exploitation. There was no way I could not step forward and share with my '100 Women' sisters about this worthy mission."
At the Giving Circle on May 15 at Tuscan Hall, the entire group will learn more about the February recipient, Redeem and Restore from Chaplain Krista Hull, Founder and Executive Director of the Redeem and Restore Center.
In March, AJ was pleased to be part of the team to deliver the check for $13,837 to Redeem and Restore. Due to the matching contribution of $4645 from the Richard M. Schulze Family Foundation, the February total for Redeem and Restore grew to $13,837! Richard Schulze, Best Buy’s founder, has identified the Power of 100—Women Who Care structure as a meaningful way to partner with local philanthropists and give back to the many communities that have helped make Best Buy the world’s leading electronics retailer.
Since the Waukesha Chapter of 100 Women Who Care was founded, the group has donated over $230,000 to 38 Waukesha County charities.
